Dave Whelan, found himself in Galway and lives and works there. He lives there with his wife eileen and young son.

Dave's artistic journey began in Coolock, Dublin at Colaiste Dhulaigh where he did a portfolio course. He than got a solid foundation at the Limerick School of Art & Design (LSAD), where he specialized in Printmaking and earned his BA. It was during this period that he discovered his enduring passion for woodcutting, a medium he continues to explore and refine in his work. Dave is currently developing his illustration practice and looks to collaborate with print and web media.

Versatile and dynamic, Dave's creative practice spans a wide array of mediums and materials. His body of work includes illustration, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, as well as comic creation. This eclectic approach allows him to express his artistic vision in myriad forms, driven by curiosity and inspiration.
